Blaze Bulletin
Edition 10 Week of October 30th
Greetings...
Teachers/staff,
I thought you would like to know that these comments have come from recent subs at our school:
"BHS has the most well behaved pleasant students I have ever subbed for - an awesome experience."
"A sub for BHS saw our Key Club kids at the Discovery center and was so proud of how they all behaved and represented us..."
I thought you should hear some of the positive things we hear. These comments, and those like them, are a direct reflection of your work. Thanks for all you do to impact our students academically and socially!

REWARD SCHOOL....
At noon, Tennessee Education Commissioner Candice McQueen announced that Rutherford County Schools has been named an “Exemplary” school district.
“The most significant element of Rutherford County’s designation as an ‘Exemplary’ school district is a recognition of the instructional opportunities being provided to the students and families in our district,” Rutherford County Director of Schools Don Odom said. “To receive this label a school district must attain an exemplary academic designation in Achievement Status and Subgroup Status.“
Additionally, the state has recognized nine Rutherford County schools for performing in the top five percent of Tennessee’s public schools for achievement or in the top five percent of schools for academic growth and progress — which is known as “value-added.” Schools can be recognized for being in the top five percent for either the performance or the progress categories — or for both categories. These schools are known as “Reward” schools - Blackman High School was one of these schools!!!
