LOVE-SERVE-CARE
PLC WEEK 3
Loving everything as we learn to Love, Serve, Care
Loving everything we do and every situation we find ourselves in may seem like an unattainable goal, but I believe it’s all about the attitude we choose to have. As educators, we must learn to love every aspect of our job, even the struggles and challenges we face, because they inevitably will make us stronger. We must learn to love negative people because they make us more positive and allow us the opportunity to change their negative viewpoints onto positive ones. We must also learn to love when people push back, because it requires us to know more deeply why we do what we do and improves our systems. Learn to love everything!

Picture Puzzles and Higher Level Questions
1. Find pictures that correlate with your lesson. 2. Cut the picture into four pieces (like a puzzle).
3. Give a piece to each student as they walk in the door.
4. Have the students find the other students with the puzzles pieces that match theirs. They will sit with this group of students.
5. Have the students tape the picture together on the back. Then tape it to a large sheet of paper.
6. Review the words for higher level questions. (attached)
7. Ask the students to write 3-5 higher level questions on the paper below the picture.
8. Tape the pictures around the room and have students do a gallery walk to look at the pictures and read the questions.
9. If the students do not think that the question is higher level, have them write a higher level question on a post it and put it on the paper. Go over each picture with the class and the questions.
