Writing A Note Of Gratitude In All Classes During 4th Period On Wednesday, November 20th
Leadership Class will provide stationary to all classroom teachers to provide students an opportunity to take the time to write a note of Thanksgiving to someone in their life during 4th period on Wednesday, November 20th.

Interim 1 Math & ELA Teams Gather On Data Analysis; When The Why Is Clear, The How Is Easy
ELA and Math Departments participated jointly during the Professional Learning Community to reflect on their first interim assessments administered to all 7th and 8th grade students.

CAASSP Interim Block Assessments (IBA) for ELA & Math To Be Administered Week of November 18 To All Students
Interim Assessment Blocks (IABs) focus on smaller sets of targets and therefore provide more detailed information for instructional purposes. The IABs yield overall information for each block. The interim assessments are aligned with grade-level content in mathematics and English language arts/literacy for grades three through eight and grade eleven.
Goal 3 - Safety
All District departments and school sites will provide a safe and secure environment for all staff and students.
Bicycle Safety Education Program
Coming to Main Street Middle School on Tuesday, December 3rd is a bicycle safety program called Bike Smart. Bike Smart is a program that provides Middle School students with an interactive assembly presentation. During the assembly, a variety of mediums, including live demonstrations, animations, photos, videos and discussion will be taught for safety behavior.
The assemblies will be scheduled in all Physical Education classes. Lesson include the benefits of bicycling, rules of the road, intersection crossings, and other safe bike topics.

Truancy counts only unexcused absences.
Parents & Students Listen About The Importance of Attendance
Attendance in school everyday matters. For the First Quarter, Main Street is at 96.7% average daily attendance.
CA Dashboard Reports Chronic Absenteeism
Main Street Middle School must address chronic absenteeism, when students are absent 18 days or more of school within a year (includes excused, unexcused and suspension).
