Important Class Placement/Request Information
Class placements are completed each school year with an intent to make the best placement decision for each and every child. The placement process is an extremely important task that requires much collaboration and intention with regards to placing each child appropriately. Our student placement is determined and reviewed by our team of professional educators. Each child's academic, social and emotional growth and specific needs are discussed, as well as peer relations. Our goal is to create classes that are heterogeneous and provide each child with a classroom environment that will best meet their needs. We are thoughtful and spend lots of time with this process as we want to be sure your child has the best placement to meet their needs.
Much time and consideration is taken into account for all of our placements. Therefore, we ask that you do not request a specific teacher placement. If your child needs special consideration, such as a specific type of structure in their learning environment, or if you wish to share specific information about your child's needs, please write a letter to our principal, Mrs. Hefter, stating the areas you would like the team to consider during the placement process.
All written requests for a specific learning environment can be submitted until May 1st. Letters that include specific teacher names will be returned to you. We are hopeful you understand that any requests/feedback will not be accepted after this date. We ask that you respect our judgment and rest assured that our goal is to make the best possible classroom placement for your child.

Daniel Boone Summer Program Announced
Hello Daniel Boone Families,
We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for our upcoming Summer Learning program. This program is designed to help our students continue making progress in reading and math skills.
This year, we are able to offer this program at no cost to our families due to grants and funding from our Blazer Foundation.
The program will be held Mondays through Thursdays from 9:00am-11:00am between July 8th through July 31st at the Primary Center for our current Kindergarten through 4th grade students.
Below, you will find the link to register your child. We ask that you complete one form for each child you are registering. Please note that transportation to and from the program will need to be provided by our families. Registration closes April 30th. Late registrations will not be accepted.
Incoming Pre-kindergarten families-this form is not the incoming pre-kindergarten form. If you are interested in registering for the pre-kindergarten program, you must first register your child for kindergarten in the Infinite Campus portal. Once your child is completely registered, we will send you the Pre-kindergarten link to apply through your email that is provided. If you need to register for kindergarten, please click Kindergarten Registration to start the process, which is completed online.
