Staff Update

Helping out Night Custodians
- Stack your chairs each night.
- All items must be removed from your sink in order for it to be cleaned.
No duct tape on the walls or floor.
No hot glue should be used to hang things up.
If your students write on desks, please use Expo markers and refrain from using pencils.
Keep projects in a designated area. At times, we have subs in the evening and they need a little help distinguishing projects from trash :)
If you have projects occurring in your classroom, please have your students help pick their mess so less time is spent on picking up items and more time spent on things such as mopping.
No items should be within 24” of the ceiling. (Fire code)
2018-2019 Belton School District Calendar
Recess
Please let Roxanne and TJ know if you plan on taking an extra recess with your class or grade level. The expectation is for each class to have a 30 minute recess outside (weather permitting) and a 10 minute brain break in the classroom.
Magnets on Doors
Please remember, it is an expectation of all classroom teachers to keep their door locked throughout the day with the magnet on the door. This allows for quick security in the case of an intruder, but also allows students and staff members access to the classrooms.
Block Kids Event
The Greater Kansas City Chapter of the National Association of Women In Construction (NAWIC) would like to invite your 1st thru 6th grade students to attend our annual Block Kids event. Please see link below for the details.

Progress Monitoring
In order to Progress Monitor a student in STAR, two things must occur:
The student must test outside of the normal testing windows.
The student must have a Goal set for the subject in which they are testing. Here is a quick video tutorial which shows you how to set a goal.
Please note: At least 12-20 instructional days of intervention should occur between Progress Monitoring sessions to gauge effectiveness of intervention.
