QNQ Winter Colorguard
This past weekend the QNQ Winter Colorguard competed in their first show of the 2024 season at Dartmouth High School. They placed 3rd with a 70.75 in the Scholastic Regional A-White division. Their show this year is titled Jump, Jive, & Shimmy and features jazz inspired video game music from Cuphead written by Kristofer Maddigan. We wish you luck this month with all of your competitions, keep up the amazing work QNQ Winter Colorguard! Congratulations!!
ROTC JLAB/Stellar Team
Congratulations to our JLAB ROTC Team conisisting of Ethan Liu (Captain), Vanston Ly, Steven Wu, Robert Pham, Vicky Zou and Catherine Liang has has qualified for the 2024 Air Force JROTC Academic Bowl Championship Competition in Washington D.C. Also, congratulations to our Stellar Team consisting of Aixin Liang (Captain), Chirstine Lin, Janice Lin, Diana Dang, Victor Liao and Ethan Liu will be travelling to Colorado in April to compete in the national finals. Two amazing achievements for our ROTC.
Winter Sports

Health Screenings Grade 9
On March 20th, our nurses will conduct health screenings for all 9th graders. If you have questions, please contact our Health Office. Thanks!
Beauty and the Beast
Interim Reports/Course Selection
Interim Reports for the third term will be published in Aspen on March 9th. Course selection assemblies for grades 9-11 will be held in school on March 11th. Course Selection Night will take place on March 13th at 6:30 p.m.
Homework Club
Every Wednesday, from 2:30-3:30, we are offering Homework Club. Homework Club meets in room 219 and students do not need to sign up in advance. Ms. Daversa is running this club and will be providing lessons on study skills, time management and much more. Feel free to encourage your child to stop by.
Student Support Updates
Student Support sends weekly (Wednesday) emails to students and parents/guardians, including an updated list of available scholarships for seniors to apply for if eligible. Look for an email entitled “Updated Weekly Scholarship List.”
Students and families who need one-on-one assistance with the FAFSA (and CSS profile) can make an appointment with Mr. Wong, a volunteer specialist who can assist with completing these forms. Mr. Wong is here every Thursday from 10 am until 2:30 pm - students can sign up for upcoming sessions on a clipboard in the Student Support Office.
Course Selection Assemblies for 9th- 11th graders will occur on March 11th and 12th.
10th grade Career Planning Classroom Presentations will be done during the week of February 26th. We will discuss our upcoming Career Day (in May) and have students complete an online Career Assessment.
On Friday, December 1, 2023, Student Support opened the Senior Class of 2024 Local Scholarship Application Google form. By filling out this short form/survey, senior students will be considered for all the local scholarships voted on by the NQHS Scholarship Committee. This form takes 5-10 minutes to complete, making each student eligible for over 75 local scholarships! This form must be completed by the end of this week, March 1, 2024. At the end of February and partly in March, The NAN Project will provide in-class presentations to grade 11 focusing on suicide prevention. The Nan project assemblies will occur on February 29th, March 4th, and March 11th. Parent opt-out forms will be sent by email. If you have any questions, let Mrs. Cushman know.

Military Mondays
Over the course of the school year, we will have representatives from each branch of the Military at NQHS. Students will have the opportunity to meet with and talk to representatives from the Armed Forces. Below is a list of days representatives will be at NQHS.
