What is Cooler Communities?
Cooler Communities is a school grant program where students and teachers explore and work on projects that address climate change, energy use and conservation. These projects are showcased by students to the community through a fun and informative community event. The goal of Cooler Communities is to bring awareness around these topics that can lead to measurable results and benefits for the students, their communities and the earth.

Project Highlights:
Hub Cap Art
Students at Stapleton & King Explorers and Walsh & Fuller Flyers are learning how to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle using old hubcaps and turning them into amazing art!
The Water Cycle- Green Club
Students at Hemenway Explorers went for a brain swim learning about water cycle! Through a group discussions, we explored each step of the cycle, from evaporation to condensation and precipitation.
The Whole World, In Our Hands
Students worked together to create pictures of the earth and reasons why it is important to them & to take care of!
Recycling
Recycling school supplies to create beautiful art is a great way for students at McCarthy Explorers to express recycling through an artistic lens.
Clean Energy Framingham City Model
Barbieri Explorers are mapping out the City of Framingham and building a clean energy model out of recycled materials.
