Student Expectations - Bay Port Football
When attending Bay Port Football games, it is the expectation of students to sit in the designated Lineville/Bay View bleacher section.
There have been issues with large groups of students running around and being rude and disrespectful at the games. With the playoffs this Friday, staff will be extra vigilant in keeping students in the bleacher section area.
Reminder ALL WIAA playoff tickets are $6.00. No passes allowed.
Parent Teacher Conferences
October 26 and 28
We believe that our students’ successes are a direct result of the collaboration among home, school, and community. Parent/teacher conferences are a time for us to come together to ensure we are all doing our part to further each student’s education. This communication serves to inform you of our parent/teacher conference format.
Parent/Teacher Conference Format Details:
Conference dates will be October 26 and October 28, 2021, in the evenings. If you are unable to schedule a conference on one of those evenings, teachers will arrange a different time to meet with you. Our goal is to meet with all parents this fall.
Conferences will be held virtually through Google Meet video conferencing. You are welcome to use your child’s device to access Google Meet.
Reasonable accommodations will be made for in-person conference requests through the building principal. In-person meetings may require the wearing of a mask (Required K-6 Schools and recommended at Bay View and Bay Port).
We will use SignUp Genius to schedule conferences. Please click here to access the SignUp Genius. SignUp Genius will be live from October 12th - 20th.
Prior to the conference, the teacher will send you a Google Meet link or code to use for the virtual conference.
When it is your time to meet, just click on the link or enter the access code and you will be able to talk with your child’s teacher(s) regarding his/her progress and how you can continue to support learning at home.
As a school community, we are thankful for everything you are doing to support your child. Together, we will continue our commitment to nurture a quality education.
Message to Online Families regarding Parent/Teacher Conferences
The HSSD Parent/Teacher conferences are just around the corner and communication regarding these will be coming out soon from Lineville and Bay View. I wanted to let you know that our 6-8 online families will not be participating in these specific conferences this year. Your child's FLVS Global teachers reach out to parents and students at least once a month to chat and provide an academic update and make sure all students are being served. These monthly meetings will take the place of our HSSD Parent/Teacher conference dates; however, do not hesitate to reach out to any of your child's teachers at any time if you have any questions or concerns. Please do not feel like you have to wait until these meetings to ask a teacher a question or discuss your child's academic progress.
