Latinos in Minnesota
By: Eric Klimek
Pull and push factors
Many latinos come to the U.S to find better jobs. One theory I have is that some come to Minnesota to escape the heat, but this is unlikely. Push factors are probably economics and jobs that aren't good in their original country.
Ravenstein's laws
Laws 1,2,3,6 apply to latinos migration
Where do they live in Minnesota
They tend to live in the Twin cities area of Minnesota.
Jobs
Most are in the meat packing business, but can also do real estate and architecture.
Challenges
Many Latinos are sometimes not educated in the English language and other needed topics. They also have a chance of getting sent back to their home country.
