Sawnee Mountain Hike
Pack 845 - Summer Time Activity
Sawnee Mountain Preserve
Sawnee Mountain visibly links to the summit of the Blue Ridge Mountain Range, as well as the rich history of the woodland culture of North Georgia’s Native American inhabitants. The mountain is named after a local Cherokee Native American, Sawnee. Now, after having survived the passage of time, natural disasters, searches for gold, timber clearing, and urban development, Sawnee Mountain is the landmark host to The Sawnee Mountain Preserve & Visitor Center.
Summer Time Activity Award
The goal of the Summertime activity award is to encourage a pack to be active when school is out for the summer, by doing one activity per month in June, July, and August.
This event is the second event in June that can be counted towards the award. Your son does not need to attend every event in June to qualify for the award. If he attends Cub Camp that also counts towards the award.
