CONCORD PLANS THE FIRST SCHOOL WELLNESS PROGRAM COMMUNITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE (CAC) MEETING
The Community Advisory Committee would like to thank all of our parents who provided feedback and shaped the foundation of our future School Wellness program.
We will have our first CAC meeting of the year on Monday, September 25th in the high school library from 3:15-4:15. All of our parents are invited to attend if they would like. At this meeting, we plan to share information about our medical sponsor, the services provided, the plan of observation, and get feedback on several policies.

CHS STUDENTS ATTEND A LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE AT CENTRAL MICHIGAN NEXT WEEK
We are pleased to announce that 35 students have been selected to participate in the All-In Leadership Conference scheduled at CMU on September 19th. This conference is an all-day event, and we are proud to take our students to this prestigious gathering.
The All-In Leadership Conference is an excellent opportunity for our students to enhance their leadership skills and gain valuable insights from renowned industry experts. This event will provide them a platform to engage in meaningful discussions, network with like-minded individuals, and broaden their horizons.
Participating in this conference will significantly benefit our students, exposing them to diverse perspectives and inspiring them to become influential leaders in their respective fields. Investing in such opportunities will contribute to their growth and equip them with the necessary skills to excel in their future endeavors.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the selected students and commend them for their dedication and commitment. We are confident they will represent our school professionally and make the most of this enriching experience.
We also want to express our gratitude to the organizers of the All-In Leadership Conference for providing this platform and for selecting our students to participate. We appreciate their efforts in creating an event that fosters leadership development and encourages exchanging ideas.
In conclusion, we are excited to take our students to the All-In Leadership Conference at CMU on September 19th. This event will undoubtedly contribute to their personal and professional growth, and we look forward to witnessing their achievements and experiences during this all-day conference.

COUNSELOR'S CORNER
Hello, Potential 2024 Graduates:
I want to share a few reminders and details as we get our momentum for the 2023-2024 school year.
It is important that you pass all of the courses on your schedule so that you can pass, earn the credit, and in return earn your high school diploma.
Zaire Ingram, who is on campus on Mondays (all day) and Tuesday mornings is available to help fill out applications for those applying to college and to help students with resumes that they can use as they apply for jobs as well. Zaire is from the College and Career Access Center that is housed in the Jackson Crossing.
For those planning to attend college; FAFSA, the free application used to identify what possible financial assistance you may qualify for to use towards college, is not opening until at least December as they are making changes to the application.
Provided below are a few resources for those planning to attend college.
College Applications - Fee Waivers - There are 2 lists on the attached document. One is a list of colleges that have no fee to apply. The other list is of colleges that will be providing fee waivers to students who have the codes and use them to submit their applications during a certain time frame (see table in the document). Also, many colleges offer fee waiver codes when you make an official visit to their campus - they oftentimes give it out at the end of the tour.
Michigan Achievement Scholarship - This was new to Michigan last year and families who have not qualified in the past MAY now.
