TARDY POLICY
Dear Families,
Please remind your students of the importance of being in class on time. Tardies don't only prevent your child from receiving a full day of instruction, but also interrupts other's learning.
Thank you for your understanding and support!
Important State Testing Information
It is very important that all students are present in school for state testing. This includes PSAT, SAT, and CMAS. Avoid scheduling appointments or other activities that require your student(s) to miss school on these dates. Thank you for your understanding and support.
CMAS Testing and Ramadan
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As you know, testing season is upon us. We place a great emphasis on assessing our students in order to celebrate the teachers and student's accomplishments throughout the year. Students are approaching the Colorado Measures of Academic Success, known as CMAS, to measure our students' comprehensive progress in the areas of English Language Arts, Math, and Science.
We also acknowledge that this comes in the time of Ramadan observance and practice. Therefore, we have provided students an equitable opportunity to demonstrate their growth and achievements to make-up their assessment April 16-19. We encourage you to contact our Instructional Coaches (Dr. Gathers and/or Mrs. Hernandez) to make arrangements to have your student attend make-up assessments so that we can plan accordingly.
We thank you for your continued support and we are excited and await the performance and results of your child's success at Lotus School For Excellence.
Last day to opt out of CMAS testing is Friday March 29th!

Tell your child to use good testing strategies. Using good reading strategies will help them with the test.
