GroundWater
What is Groundwater?
GroundWater is the water found underground through the cracks and creases of rocks or soil and this process is called infaltration.
What Is Groundwater?
Porosity and Permeability
Porosity and Permeability is how water or gas flows through a substance like gravel and sand or dirt.Porosity is how well water goes through it like rocks water goes through rock well so it has a high Porosity. Permeability is like the same thing but just a little different but instead sand would have a high permeability cause is can hold more water cause its harder to go the sand than rocks so rocks have a poor permeability but have a high porosity.
The Water Table
The water table consists of zone of aeration, zone of saturation, Water table, Aquifer and Aquiclude. Zone of aeration is the zone before the land surface and the water table. Zone of saturation is the area in the aquifer and below the water table. Water table is the level below witch the ground is saturated of water. Aquiclude is the shallowest aquifer witch is at this area is unconfined. Aquifer is a body of permeable rock that can contain or transmit ground water.
Types of Aquifers
there are only two different types of aquifers confined and unconfined Aquifers.
