Principal's Corner
November 26th, 2023
Good Evening Killam Families!
I hope you stayed warm and dry this weekend!
Last week was our first week of our school wide Read a Thon! Students have already read over 50,000 minutes earning bingo at lunch soon! Our next goal as a school this week is 100,000 minutes! Remember- students can read with their adults, read recipes, read to a friend, or read independently! Our goal is always to encourage strong reading practices and to reach our school goals together!
Term 2 report cards will be published tomorrow by end of day. Please reach out to your child's classroom teacher with any questions regarding their current performance and progress! A reminder that these are standards based report cards and measure end of year expectations for their current grade level.
Last call to sign up for the Solar Eclipse Party on April 8th right after school. Sign-ups will close tomorrow. We will have music and solar eclipse glasses for all who sign up. Student glasses do not need to be ordered. Bring a picnic and join us for this awesome phenomenon! Sign up here: https://forms.gle/2VK2A7ERK8Qx9sUBA
Have a great week!

Do you have a child who is on an IEP, a 504 plan, or with special needs. If so, the Reading SEPAC exists for YOU.
Please fill out this brief, anonymous survey to help your SEPAC Board to plan for the 2024-2025 school year. It should only take a few minutes.
This school year we brought speakers to the Reading community on important topics such as executive functioning and anxiety based in large part on what parents highlighted in the annual survey, so it’s very important to make sure your voice is heard.
We also want to hear from you on how we are doing in meeting our community’s needs and what more we can do to improve Reading SEPAC.
