Senior Car Giveaway will be 9:00 am at the high school.
Seniors will board a bus to visit another MVISD campus.
Senior Picnic will begin at 12:45 pm at the high school.

MVHS Model Citizens of the Week
MVHS Model Citizens of the Week are nominated by students and staff. Selection criteria is based on the American Citizenship Awards for students who:
- Participate in school and/or community service
- Show a positive attitude toward classmates, school, and the community
- Display an understanding and appreciation of civic responsibility
- Possess strength of character and the courage to do what is right
- Promote citizenship with their school or community through other activities
The American Citizenship Awards criteria are endorsed by the National Association of Secondary School Principals.

Preliminary drawing for the vehicle donated by North Park Chevrolet Castroville. Students will place their entries in the drawing. 30 entries will be randomly chosen. The 30 entries will then be redrawn to determine placement order for the key drawing. The key drawing will be on 5/30!
Panthers Win Lineman Challenge
The Mighty Panthers won the Hondo Lineman Challenge as well as the Natalia Linemen Challenge. MV 2 wins Division 2. MV1 wins Division 1.

Graduation Practice
Wednesday and Thursday June 5th & 6th at 9:15 a.m. in the High School Gymnasium
2019 Graduation Ceremony
Panther Stadium
Friday, June 7th at 8 p.m.
Graduates should arrive at the High School gymnasium by 6:15 p.m.
In the case of inclement weather the graduation ceremony will be moved to June 8, 2019 at 10 a.m. If the weather continues to be unfavorable for providing a safe and dry ceremony it will then be moved to June 9, 2019 at 10 a.m.
FFA Banquet
What a banquet! The Medina Valley FFA celebrated its 50th anniversary since chartering last night by awarding $8,400 in scholarships, recognizing award winners, and inducting the 2019-2020 Medina Valley FFA Officer Team... it was a night to remember!

Congratulations to the SANS Girls Go CyberStart National Qualifiers:
Grace Simonson, Kelsey Maine, Kassidee Webb, and Jasmine Salazar. 1st Alternate: Julissa Martinez, 2nd Alternate: Alyssa Burlingame These young ladies will compete in the National Competition from June 5th – 7th.
Top scoring Capture the Flag teams nationally:
• 1st prize = $400 per team member and $250 for their school
• 2nd prize = $300 per team member and $250 for their school
• 3rd prize = $200 per team member and $250 for their school
Top scoring Capture the Flag teams in each state:
• 1st prize = $100 per team member and $100 for their school
• 2nd prize = $75 per team member and $100 for their school
• 3rd prize = $50 per team member and $100 for their school
Good luck to each of you as you compete in the next level of this capture the flag tournament. Study all of your cybersecurity notes and material. Research web exploitation, cryptography and Linux commands that can be used to pull and display information such as the grep command.
