10th & 11th graders visiting college campuses on April 9
Parents/Guardians of all 10th and 11th graders:
Mrs. Paradis has organized 3 different trips for all sophomores and juniors to visit college campuses on Tuesday, April 9. Please support our school by having your child attend school this day.
Although visiting colleges may seem unrelated to their classes, it is important to our school culture and to encourage aspirations beyond high school. Students may not envision themselves at college or pursuing post-secondary education right now but they may not want to attend college someday. They may even want to attend the colleges they visit so this trip will give them a sense of what college has to offer and shows them how college is different from high school. These tours also give our students a chance to bond with friends or make new ones, eat amazing food at an all-you-can-eat buffet in the college cafeteria, and learn more about college life in general.
Tuesday's college tours are sponsored through our MELMAC grant which aims to raise student aspirations. Students will earn 5 raffle tickets toward prizes that are on display in the library, also sponsored by the MELMAC grant.
A big thank you to the MELMAC Education Foundation for supporting WMHS students!

Full day Wednesdays - May 1 & 15, June 5 - at WMHS

Students are expected to attend school for the full day on these Wednesdays and the bell schedule will be the same as any full day of school.

Enter the world of imagination and performance, in Heartwood Theater's 22nd youth summer camp at the Poe Theater on the LA Campus. Currently, there are 5 open spots for interested students entering 6th-12th grades, next fall. This camp will swing wide the doors of imagination, as students experiment with numerous forms of theater performance: acting, movement, improvisation, speech and poetry, music, masks, shadow puppetry and costumes. The end result will be a completely devised evening of presentation, based on classic texts. If your student is interested in this intensive three week experience (July 1 - 20), visit heartwoodtheater.org or email info@heartwoodtheater.org or phone 563-1373 for full details and forms.
DO NOT spray perfume, cologne, or other fragrances in the school building.
When you need to dismiss your child from school...
please send an email to Cristina Stade at cstade@wiscassetschools.org
This provides us with written documentation.
You can also send a written note to school with your child that they can give Cristina in the morning.
THANK YOU for helping us with communication and assuring that we are aware of where your child is throughout the school day.
Parents/Guardians - are you receiving school-wide emails and phone calls?
