A Message from our Assistant Principal.......
What a cold and soggy week! Thank you so much for your patience with drop off and pick up this week. We try to be as efficient as possible but keeping the BEARS safe is our first priority. I wanted to remind you of a few things about traffic:
· --The right lane, closest to the school, turns RIGHT out of the parking lot.
· --The left lane, closest to the parking lot, turns LEFT out of the parking lot.
· --Only ONE lane from Brown Street turns into the Birmingham parking lot.
· -- Students should not be dropped off from the parking lot, unless a parent parks and walks them to the crosswalk.
· ---Be aware of students, parents, and staff members in the parking lot.
Thank you for your help and making sure that all of our BEARS, families, and faculty are safe!
Also, remember the best time to get in the line to drop off is between 7:00 and 7:15.
Have a great weekend!
BEARy best wishes...
-Mrs. Halligan

A Message from our School Counselor......
The Wylie ISD Canned Food Drive kicks off next week and runs through Nov. 7th! I am so excited to see our Bears support our community!! Our goal is to collect 2,000 items. This will feed approximately 30 families for a week.
Though all food items are greatly appreciated and accepted, when thinking about donating, please see the attached flyer with the level of need for certain items. The Christian Care Center is in the most need of the following: canned fruit, canned soup, dry cereal, and jellies/jams. As of last week they were completely out of soup, which is one of the most needed items due to it being a complete meal for one person.
For each of the most needed items brought in, students will receive 5 Bear Bucks!! For all other items, Bears will receive 1 Bear Buck.
Let's get into the season of giving and support the Christian Care Center's Food Pantry!!!
Week of Oct 22-26 is also Red Ribbon Week. Please see the attached flyer for dress up days!
Have a great weekend!
Bear love,
Mrs. Ray
A Message from Nurse Abby.....
Happy Fall Bears!
We have now been using our new clinic for 3 weeks. The students love it and I love it! So thankful to Wylie ISD for providing a safe, comfortable place to help our sick Bears. Feel free to come say Hi and take a peek next time you are in the building.
Please remember to send a refillable water bottle to school with your child! Staying hydrated is very important to your child’s health and ability to focus in class. Children’s Health recommends taking half of your child's weight (up to 100 pounds) – and that's the number of ounces of water they should drink every day (for example, an 80-pound child should drink 40 ounces of water).
Please remember to get your flu shots.
Stay Healthy,
Nurse Abby
