DCHS Connection Groups
If you have noticed that you feel lonely, disconnected, and unmotivated, especially since Quarantine began, you are not alone.
In response to this common experience, Deer Creek Health and Wellness is offering "Connection Groups" for high school students. Connection Groups are an opportunity to form new friendships and encourage each other. Each group will meet once a week for 20-30 minutes, either before or after school or virtually, and each group will have an adult facilitator. If you are interested in participating, scan the QR code and fill out the form. We’ll be in touch with your parents to arrange participation.Parent Guide to Resiliency
WhyTry, one of my favorite programs, is offering their Parent Guide to Resiliency, free to our parents!! This is an incredible gift!! I believe that building resiliency in our children is the most important learning tool we can give them. It is right up there with building intrinsic motivation. Kids have to be able to hit a wall and have the strength to figure out how to go through it, over it, around it, etc. Too many of our kiddos just give up and walk away. Resiliency, more than any other executive skill, determines the difference between success and failure. This is true whether you are talking about academics, sports, or life. Please, take advantage of this opportunity to help your child build resilience during this time when we could all use it!
Media Center
The Cafe in the DCHS Media Center is open from 7:45-10:05 each day. We are selling frozen coffee drinks, lattes, hot chocolate, and snacks!

Deer Creek Communication Platform
Deer Creek School District is embarking on a new communication platform to include a Deer Creek App that is designed to enable parents, staff and students to stay informed and up-to-date on events, important issues, general information, emergency notifications and site based activities. The Deer Creek App will work conjointly with the SchoolMessenger App (registration only required one time) as a notification system. Once a parent has registered with the SchoolMessenger App, they will only need to use the Deer Creek App for all things Deer Creek!
