Chaplain's Corner
We, like many others are heartbroken by the devastating accident where 15 men from the Bronco's hockey organization lost their lives. Monday morning- we will provide students with a ribbon to wear as a sign of solidarity with those family and friends that are mourning. We will also gather as a faith community in Chapel at Flex to provide students with an opportunity to light a candle and offer a prayer for those who were lost in the horrific crash. Parents are welcome to join us for our prayer at Flex on Monday morning. Friday we will be having a hockey jersey or a green/yellow shirt day.
We were also blessed this week to have Archbishop Smith and Father Jim Corrigan preside at our Easter Mass for our school community. We were reminded to come back to the Eucharistic table as the foundation of our lives- to return to our merciful and loving Creator! What a beautiful job by our staff and students. Shout out to Miss. Cava and our wonderful choir.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS
Collective Effervescence
Connecting with others plays a key role in boosting our positive mental health.
Collective effervescence is a term we learned this year that taps into the positive power of the collective.
Collective effervescence describes collective moments of joy.
We experience it when we connect to something bigger than ourselves.
It is about sharing in our humanity.
It’s that feeling you get at a concert when everyone is singing along...the feeling of electricity when your favorite team makes the playoffs...that feeling of shared excitement and pride when we sing “O Canada” at the start of an event...when we gather together at church and you feel truly connected.
How can we work to add more moments of collective effervescence into our lives?

Gearing up for Year 3 of the One-to-One Technology Program
With the successful implementation of the One to One technology program, EICS is excited to enter into year 3 of the initiative.
Beginning in September of 2018-2019, the option to purchase or lease to own a Chromebook will be offered by Staples and not directly from the school.
Because of the positive feedback we’ve received from you about the service and support provided by Staples, we continue to recommend them to our parent community.
We will continue to maintain a small inventory of Chromebooks at the school in the event that the student forgets to bring or charge their own device.
Any further questions, please contact your school administration.
