Huggins Highlights
Staff, today, September 23rd, marks our first time to use the new den scheduling spreadsheet system. A video has been added under students on the Kleb calendar to show in den today, and it will walk students through how to look for and read their den schedule emails. Attendance and final weekly den rosters can be found under teacher on the Kleb calendar. This spreadsheet should be used to mark attendance in den and help keep everything organized. The scheduling spreadsheet for next week will be sent out on Wednesday of this week.
Don’t forget that the second progress report is just around the corner...this Friday, September 27th is the last day for PR2 grades (the grade pull is next Monday at 11:59pm). Please remember that for any student participating in UIL events, the second progress report determines eligibility! Meaning students failing one or more classes will be ineligible for competitions.
Also, please remember that next Monday, September 30th in the main office conference room, I will meet with all teachers during their off periods for a short training as well as our face-to-face feedback meeting (if you are a returning teacher, you may remember that we started this in the last quarter of last year). If you and your team need to meet in the morning instead, please let me know ahead of time.
Parents, the GT referral window is now open until September 27. Parents, please complete the information found here if you would like your student tested.
A note from our PTO
Thanks to all of our parents and students who came out last week to our Volunteer breakfast and especially our Skate Night Spirit Night! It was a great turnout supporting PTO and our Cubs had a lot of fun. Stay tuned for more spirit nights coming up!
Follow us on Remind (text @klebpt to 81010) and Facebook at KlebPTO to stay up to date with us :)
MEMBERSHIP: Our membership drive is still under way! We hope you will all join PTO – your membership dues and donations go to support the student incentives, teacher gifts, and other giving projects we provide for the school and this is our ONLY fundraiser aside from memory book sales. You can print the form (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OURRmcTxgTUSvAOgYm4GmM7YPUgppVT6/view?usp=sharing) and send it in the front office with your student with payment, or forms and envelopes are available to fill out there. Family memberships are only $10 -- $1 per month of the school year! You’ll see on the form that there are additional donor levels, and this is just an easy way for you to support our goals (please remember to ask your company if they will match donations, too!) NEW this year: you may also choose to purchase a PTO t-shirt for $10! This is not required for volunteering, but is a great way to let students and staff see our presence in the halls.
MEMORY BOOKS & 8TH GRADE ADS: Our online store is OPEN! Please go to balfour.com and search for Kleb to purchase your student’s memory book at a discount before December 31. Parents of 8th graders, don’t forget to reserve your graduation ad space now – you can purchase a 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, or full page ad on the balfour website and save your spot. Artwork will be due in the spring but we do have limited space for ads so don’t wait!
IMAGE SHARE: We need your help to make sure we have great photos of ALL our Bearcubs in action for the memory book! Coaches, club sponsors, parents, and students can all submit your shots of what happens this year through Balfour’s ImageShare website or app (available for both iOS and Android.) You’ll need to create an account and then can send photos directly to a dropbox for Kleb, using project code 022579.
If you HAVE renewed your form but have not received any emails from Kleb for volunteer opportunities, please email klebvolunteers@gmail.com and ask to make sure that you have been added to the Kleb group.
