The Boy Who Dared
By:
WWII FICTIONAL BOOK PROJECT
Helmuth Hubener is a boy who stood up to the third reich at the age of 17. Helmuth went through a lot of twists and turns through out his life, but eventually he got caught and went to jail. Every week an executioner would come and kill someone that was sentenced, and every day of that week Helmuth could die. In this book I believe that Helmuth never gave up on what he believed was right.
Theme
In this story I think one of the themes is that Helmuth never gave up on what he thought was right in the end. I believe that is something that all of us should know and be able to do He may have went through a couple hardships on the way about his beliefs, but in the end he stuck with them.
Internet and book
I looked on the internet about this story and from the internet I read a lot of similar things that were in the book. Similar to the book Helmuth stood up to the Third Reich by putting leaflets about Hitler's lies. Helmuth similar to the book Helmuth did have accomplices, his friends. He also listened to an illegal radio station. Lastly Helmuth listened to a the BBC to learn his information about the third reich
Authors point of view
I think the author did a really good jobs of getting those points out there when the book was fictional. He got in some good themes also. I thought that he made this book pretty good. I got interested in some of the chases and things that the boys got caught up in. In conclusion I think the author did a good job of writing this book
