STATE CHAMPIONSHIP CELEBRATION
On Wednesday, we spent the morning celebrating our basketball state champions!! Thank you to AHSAA Director, Alvin Briggs, who came to BHS to present the Bucks with their blue map!!!
CALEB HOLT, TN VALLEY CO-PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Congratulations to Caleb Holt on being named All-Tennessee Valley Co-Player of the Year!
"A year after making the Tennessee Valley first team as an eighth-grader, Holt led his team to the Class 6A state championship as a freshman.
He averaged 16.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists throughout the season for head coach Patrick Harding, but clearly he saved his best games for last.
In the state semifinals against McGill-Toolen, Holt rallied his team from a double-digit third-quarter deficit. The 6-foot-5 standout scored 24 of his game-high 33 points in the second half. He went 16-of-19 from the foul line, including hitting his first 13, and added 14 rebounds and five steals.
In the championship game win over Mountain Brook, Holt finished with 32 points and 18 rebounds in a 65-56 Buckhorn victory. Mountain Brook coach Tyler Davis called him a “generational talent” following the game."

MCSS Safe Schools Tip Line is an anonymous reporting hotline designed for students and parents to safely and quickly report any type of potential safety concern towards an individual or school. By dialing or texting 256.536.8355, someone could possibly save the life of another. You may also email your concerns to 256TELL@madisoncountyal.gov.
This reporting hotline is monitored 24/7 by the Madison County Sheriff’s Department. All reports are forwarded to the School Resource Officer(s) who is assigned to the respective school. The school administration may be contacted as well.

Sign Up to Round Up!
The Round Up Program was started by The Schools Foundation and Huntsville Utilities to support local public school systems. The Schools Foundation is a funding partner of Madison County Schools. The more residential and commercial locations that round up, the more funding we can receive. Estimates show that if just half of the residential Huntsville Utilities users rounded up, it would generate approximately $500,000 to support our schools! By rounding up your utility bill to the nearest dollar each month, you help invest in the future of our students!
You can easily sign up to round up online:
https://www.hsvutil.org/community_resources/programs/sign_up_to_round_up.php
It might be a penny, it might be 25 cents, it might be 99 cents, but it will be no more than $11.88 a year. It takes less than 1 minute to fill out.
Thank you for supporting one of our community partners! Go Bucks!
