An Important Announcement from our Administrator
Over the past few months, the teachers, administrators, and the Board of Directors have worked diligently to create a school improvement plan. The purpose of this plan is to evaluate our school programs to determine where improvements are needed. While I realize that Silliman has many great aspects, there will always be areas that need improvement. After our work was completed and approved by our Board, we will begin the process of implementing our plan.
The plan focuses on several areas: academics, athletics, finance, facilities, and technology. Each area has specific goals, persons responsible, resources needed, timelines for completion, and identified data to determine the success or lack of. It is our goal to revisit each goal periodically to determine the effectiveness of our actions. If needed, we will revisit our strategies and make adjustments where necessary.
It is the goal of all Silliman’s stakeholders to create the best independent school in the MAIS and in the State of Louisiana.

Football
Football has finished off and the Wildcats had an amazing season. The Wildcats finished 8-2 and won district for the 2nd year in a row. Jack Jackson, Tyler Archuleta, Brock Berthelot, and Holt McNabb were selected to play in the MAIS All Star Game in Pearl, Mississippi. They left Clinton on Tuesday at noon. They worked hard and practiced with that Wildcat intensity that all of us love to see. By the end of the week, Tyler, Brock, and Jack were all starting on defense. The game was one to remember but our Wildcats lost by 2 points. One of highlights of the game was that Brock Berthelot won defensive MVP, finishing the game with two interceptions. Our All Stars certainly showed what Wildcats are all about!!! - by Tyler Archuleta

Basketball
The Silliman Wildcats faced the Tigers from Centreville Academy on December 10, 2019. The JV girls came out with a dominant victory to remain undefeated. They were lead by 8th grade point guard Shelby Morris. The JV boys also came out with a win. Kyle Gayle lead them to defeat them by more than 30 points. The Varsity also played well. The girls lost a nail-biter by 3 points. They were led by sophomore Ashton Siebert with 17 points and sophomore Kensley Lantrip with 14 points and Lantrip scoring 6 points in a row to bring the Lady Wildcats back. The girls basketball team had a five game winning streak in December. Silliman hosted the Varsity Christmas Tournament and the girls had great success, with each win being achieved by at least 40 points. The Varsity boys topped Centreville in a thriller game by winning 40-38. Justin Pace led the Wildcats with 17 points and right behind him was sharp-shooting Brock Berthelot with 11 points.
