Human Resources- August 2018
Attract-Serve-Develop-Retain
We know that all of you had a very busy summer to prepare for the 18-19 school year. Thank you for all of your hard work. If there is anything you need from us as the school year begins, please let us know.
What to do if you suspect an employee might be under the influence...
If you are a new administrator (or if you are not new, but would like a refresher on what to do if you suspect an employee may be under the influence), please plan on attending the annual training at Central Services on September 14, 2018 from 9:00-10:30. Unfortunately, we have already had to use this protocol for the 18-19 school year, and it is essential everyone on your team know what the proper steps are since timing is often imperative.
HR Phone Conferences
Although we are just beginning, I know how fast your calendar fills up. Here are your October Phone Conference dates so that you can mark your calendar now. I will follow up with an email soon. However, you do have access to sign up for your time now so that you can get the slot you need. You will need to review your Shared HR Spreadsheets (Certified and Support) before this meeting. I will share more about how to do that in the email.
PADEPP Conferences for Principals
Van and/or Ryan should be in touch with you in regards to your individual PADEPP Orientation. At this meeting they will discuss your Principal Professional Development Plan/Goal for the year and you will enter it into SCLead. Please remember that all principals will meet for the group orientation on 9/12/18 after DLT. HR will provide lunch for you on this day.
ADEPT
As you know, Kimberly Freeman has sent you many emails in regards to 4.0 and all of the training coming this month for you and your staff. If you have any questions about mentors, 4.0 training/evaluation, administrator orientations, and/or SLO's please do not hesitate to reach out to her. Please remember that ALL administrators should attend one of the Administrator ADEPT Orientations.
We Want Your Feedback....
If you have time to give us some feedback on the various goals for HR that we have been working on, we would greatly appreciate it. You can find the link here.
Did you know?? Worker's Compensation is now in HR.. Meet Jaime Presor....
Jaime is at 821-1045 or jpresor@lexington1.net and is here to help you with any of your Worker's Compensation needs. A couple of changes will be communicated to your Worker's Comp representative soon... Ex: Site reps can now call the doctor for an appointment without getting authorization from Jaime first. There is also another form that will be added to your worker's comp packet in the next week or so. Also, reps may now be contacted directly by the adjuster and can speak with them.
