Announcements from Brooke
END OF SEMESTER: Grades close on Tuesday, 1/30 at 9am. Please be sure to inform families if their student will be receiving a D/F or N/U at the semester.
TRI-CARD STAFF CHALLENGE!: This week, counselors and administration would like to encourage staff to give Tri-Cards to students that go unnoticed. In every class there are students that always represent the Triton 3, but don’t get recognition for it. This week, try to give Tri-Cards to students that “fly under the radar.”
INTENT FORMS: All intent forms are due to my box by Friday, February 9th. See me with any questions.
8th GRADE: 8th grade classes will be attending the COSA Preview Assembly during 7th period on Tuesday, February 6th. We will be leaving campus at 2:00pm. Ryan's 8th graders will go with Grossini's class. Grossini's 7th graders will stay will Heyen. Kullmann will take 8th grade APA and Frampton's and Heyen's 8th graders to the assembly. Frampton will keep Kullmann's 7th grade APA students with her. Teachers who have 8th grades classes both periods 6 & 7 will stay at the assembly. Teachers who have 6th period 8th graders will walk them over to CHS and then return to CMS. Teachers who do not have 8th graders period 6 but have them period 7 will meet us at the theater at the beginning of 7th period. Students can bring their backpacks and leave from there.
COPY MACHINES: Only trained office aides or teacher's aides should be using the copy machines in the teacher work room. Liz and Akisha have trained all this year's aides on how to use and un-jam the machines. There have been several students using the copiers that have not been trained and we have been experiencing a high amount of jams that require servicing.
T3 SURVEY: . If you have a T3 class, please fill out this Staff T3 Survey by Friday, February 2nd, at 3:00pm.
T3 CALENDAR: T3 Calendar 23-24
WEDNESDAY MEETING: This week's meeting is professional development at 2:00pm.
Nestor's News
Tardies: Way to go, Tritons! I am so happy to see that all of our efforts are working in making sure that our kiddos get to class on time. Of course, we still have a few kids that need reminders and I will be meeting with all of the students on an individual basis to go over their tardies and how we can support them.
Boiler: Thank you all for your patience as we adjust the temperature accordingly to ensure that all classrooms have the best learning environment possible given our limited ability to independently adjust each classroom’s thermostat. I am going to please ask that we keep the temperature as is. M/O is not able to adjust the temperature to have every room just right. If your room is too cold, I may be able to provide you with a portable heater. If your room is a bit on the warmer side, please open windows and doors. Thank you all!
WeTip: Please consider taking time during T3 to highlight the significance of our WeTip system. We have several incidents that have gone unreported because…well, middle school students do not want to be a “snitch.” The WeTip system is a fantastic way to report concerns without having to come to the office.
Shout Out: Shout out to Gina G.! Gina has a really cool classroom in that it is a space that truly speaks to the content. Adv. Art is a great space where creativity comes to life and the good energy is contagious! Way to go, Gina!
