Information for staff
Mock exams - 15th to 19th February
All exams expect Maths, Core Maths and English Literature will take place at JCA. Students will be given timetables together with transport information early next week.
Post 16 Open Forum at KOA
First P16 open forum - Monday 1st February 8.30-8.45am in CG5 for Amanda to share with staff what is known about the P16 curriculum for next year. This will be the first of on-going sessions to be agreed by staff when there is a need to share ideas and communicate events in CLF p16. These sessions are completely optional and at Monday's session staff can discuss future get-togethers.

Bursary Payments for Post 16 students
Students are likely to be eligible if they are:
- Looked after/ care leavers or
- Live in a household with income below £25,000 or
- Need one off financial support and live in a household with income below £36,000
Attendance marks and concerns in SIMS
Don't forget to add any concerns or achievements to the behaviour records in SIMs - selecting type "P16 Cause for concern".
Year 11 Guidance meetings
There are a number of vocational level 2/3 pathways next year which may be suitable for students who don't achieve 5 C grade GCSE/ BTEC passes. It is hoped we can offer: Media and Photography (Boomsatsuma), Sport and Elite Performance, Performing Arts,Childcare, Early Years and Health & Social Care, Art and Design and Catering.
There are a small number of students still to have a meeting and we will be catching up with them next week.
Please note that no decisions have been made as at where subjects will be taught and the matrix will most likely change as we pull together the applications from across the CLF.

Mock exam results will be given out at parent's evening.
Trips for Year 12 students
- Tuesday 16th February - Ambitions event at SSG college leaving at 8.20am.
- Monday 14th March - Oxbridge convention at Swansea for students interested in applying to Oxford or Cambridge.
- Tuesday 15th March - UCAS convention at UWE. All Y12 students will attend, leaving at 1pm. No afternoon lessons.
