Congratulations to our October SOAR Champions!
PE CARES Food Drive
Each year we have a PE CARES Food Drive! We are collecting canned and packaged food for Houghton Community Center in Muskegon. As a part of our collection, we will have a little fun with a competition between our Alward Teams. Each canned or boxed food is worth 1 point. Each jar of peanut butter is worth 3 points. The 2 teams with the highest point total will go bowling at Hudsonville Lanes! Our goal this year: 2000 Canned or Boxed Food Points! Let's work together to collect food to help other families in need!

MICHIGAN CHILD PROTECTION REGISTRY
Every day kids are learning about all the new apps, social media sites, and illegal products available online from their peers. It is very important that parents know about the Michigan Child Protection Registry in order to keep kids safe while online. The Michigan Child Protection Registry, administered under our Secretary of State’s office, is dedicated to stopping minors, parents, and other caregivers from receiving any solicitations from gambling, tobacco, alcohol, marijuana, and pornography companies via email and text messaging. You can visit the Registry at www.ProtectMIChild.com.

ONGOING FUNDRAISERS:
Amazon Smiles: We now have an account set up with Amazon to collect a donation whenever anyone shops at smile.amazon.com with this link:
https://smile.amazon.com/ch/38-3393971
It's the same Amazon, same items, same prices. But when users check out through this link, we get 0.5% of their purchase donated back to PTC. Such an easy way to earn money for our school!
Box Tops Collection: We used to collect box tops, count them and mail them in. Our school would earn money in return. The Box Top Program is changing slightly, stay tuned for more details! You can still save those box tops, but there will be a new way for us to get credit for them!
Family Fare Receipts: Save your Family Fare Receipts and turn them in to the office. That's it! So Easy! Our volunteer team will enter them. When we reach $150,000, we earn $1,000 for our school!
Paper Gator: Did you know our school has a paper gator? It is located on the east side of the building in the bus loop. Feel free to drop off the below items at your convenience. Our school earns money just for recycling! Please remember not to drop off items during our bus times of 8:15am-9am and 3:15pm-4pm. Thank you!!

IT’ THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR IN HUDSONVILLE - Hudsonville is celebrating its 26th annual Holiday Parade on November 23rd at 10 am. The parade, sponsored by Sunset Retirement Communities, takes off from Pinnacle Center Drive and will travel north on 32nd Ave, ending on school street off of Central Blvd. Immediately following the parade, there will be a Christmas celebration held at Terra Square filled with Santa and Mrs. Claus, kid's activities, cookies, and hot chocolate. This is an excellent opportunity to welcome in the holidays with your family and neighbors! Look for floats, horses, snow dogs, trucks, bands, and more in the Hudsonville Holiday Parade on Saturday, November 23.
Hot Lunch
*Hot lunch deposits can be make online at www.sendmoneytoschool.com. You will need your students ID# to set up an account. If you do not know your student's ID, please call the office.
*You can also make a deposit by sending a check or cash to school. Please send all money to school in an envelope labeled with your child's name.
*The Hot Lunch menu can be found online at https://www.jenhudfood.org/
Reminders from the Office
Late/Tardies: All students coming in to the building after 8:50am, need to be signed in by a parent/guardian. If they are not signed in, they will receive an unexcused tardy.
End of day changes: We know that things come up and sometimes families have to make changes to how their kids are going home. Please make your best effort to let the office know of these changes before 3:00pm. The office is very busy at the end of day, and changes after 3pm are difficult to communicate to the classroom teacher. Thank you for your help with this!
