A Note from Mrs. Mitchell...
It is with mixed emotions that I am sending you the last Preschool Post of the 2019-2020 school year. This year is ending without so many of the typical celebrations we experience at the end of a school year. That being said, it has been incredible to watch the many ways our BECC family has come together to provide continued learning opportunities for our students. We have loved every video, picture, and story you have shared about at home learning. We will remember the zoom calls filled with giggles, pets, and siblings forever. Thank you, parents, for all of the work you have done to make those opportunities available and successful for your child. Even though we can't have a traditional Pre-K celebration this year, celebrating our Pre-K graduates is just as important as ever. Our Pre-K team put together a video montage to help capture many of the fun memories from this school year. We are confident that our Pre-K students will have many great experiences awaiting them in kindergarten and are ready to succeed. We anxiously await our Preschool students return to learning at the Brownsburg Early Childhood Center. Have a wonderful summer and please know that we are here to support your family in any way we can. Please do not hesitate to reach out over the summer if you need anything!
Student Material Pick up and Drop off Reminder
You will have the opportunity to drop off materials that belong to the school and pick up your child’s school materials on Monday, May 26 or Tuesday, May 27 using the sign-up link below. When you sign up, you will select a half hour block of time that you are available to complete the process outlined below.

During the block of time you have signed up for, you will need to pull into the car rider line. Just as if you were dropping off or picking up your child as a car rider, you will make your way to door 14. Before getting into the line, please do the following:
· Gather any school materials that need to be returned. This could include classroom library books, toys borrowed, or clothes from the nurses' clinic. Any consumable or paperback textbooks that students write in, should be kept. If you are uncertain if a book should be returned or kept, please contact your child's classroom teacher for guidance. Please label items with teacher names so we know who to return them to.
· After filling out the survey, you will receive a color to identify your time slot. Please write your student(s)’ last name(s) and color on a very large on a piece of paper and place it on the passenger side dashboard.
· Please only arrive within your designated time slot in order to allow this pickup process to go as smoothly as possible.
Upon arrival at door 14, a staff member will approach your car and collect any materials you have to be returned to school. Staff members collecting materials from cars will be wearing face coverings. Please do not exit your vehicle at any time during this process. We can receive all items through the car’s window.
Another staff member will be retrieving the student items from inside the school. Teachers have placed all student belongings into a paper bag labeled with the student’s name. If your child has any OTC medications or prescription medication with authorization for pick-up, these items will also be in this bag. This staff member will then place the bag or bags for multiple children inside your vehicle's trunk or lift gate. Please have this unlocked or popped to make this process more efficient.
Our school nurse will be at door 18 to distribute controlled substances and non-authorized medications for pick-up. If this applies to you, you should hear from the nurse the week of May 18th.
This is new for all of us, so we appreciate your patience as we work through this process together. If you have any questions about this process please reach out to myself or your child's teacher.
