John Paul II Collegiate
April Newsletter
Administrative Team Message
We are rolling through Semester Two and have much to celebrate! Congratulations to our Senior Basketball teams and Cheer Team on a great season filled with growth, learning, and good sportsmanship. Our students continue to represent us well on and off the court and mat, and we are very proud of all of their accomplishments.
As we approach the end of Holy Week, we would like to extend a big thank you to Father Greg for the Holy Week video that was shared this morning and for leading us in Stations of the Cross yesterday.
After Easter Break, we will be entering in to the midpoint of Semester Two. We want to reinforce the importance of regular attendance as a key factor in student success and to remind students to have their assessments up to date before marks are pulled on April 19th to calculate Honour Roll and Graduation Awards.
April is also the time to host our Open House for the 2024-25 school year. We invite all who are interested in attending John Paul II to attend and learn more of what we have to offer here. Please see the poster below for more information. We are excited to show off all of our renovations with the most recent being our Home Ec. Lab that will be ready to go when the students return after the break.
We wish everyone a very restful and enjoyable Easter Break and look forward to seeing you after the break.

Chaplain's Report ~ Father Greg
As we journey through these last few days of Holy Week, our school family has had many moments of prayer and thanksgiving for the sacrifices made for all of us as we prepare for the joy of Easter. Our Catholic Studies classes have examined the life and times of Jesus in a detailed way during this period, and we truly give thanks.
We will gather as an entire school and participate in the Stations of the Cross on Wednesday, March 27th. We are doing this devotion using "Mary's Way of the Cross" It is a touching reminder of what Jesus' mother experienced as her Son carried the Cross.
As we prepare for Easter break, we pray that our students and staff may have a Joyful Easter Season. May we welcome the beginning of Spring, and always realize that we are cared for and nourished by our Heavenly Father who loves us so very much. Happy upcoming Easter to all, and as always, St. John Paul II, Pray for us!
