Message From Dr. Otway
Dear College Park Families,
I hope this message finds you well. As we wrap up another week at College Park, I want to express my sincere gratitude for your patience and understanding during the inclement weather we've experienced. Dealing with weather challenges can be demanding, but your cooperation and flexibility are greatly appreciated as we prioritize the safety and well-being of our students.
Despite the weather-related adjustments, it's been another fantastic week at our school. Our students continue to impress us with their dedication to learning, and our teachers are working hard to create engaging and supportive virtual and in-person learning environments.
As we approach the weekend, I want to take a moment to wish you and your family a Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend. This is a time to reflect on Dr. King's legacy and the values he championed—equality, justice, and unity. May this weekend be an opportunity for meaningful conversations and moments of inspiration.
Thank you for your ongoing support, collaboration, and for being an essential part of our school community. Together, we navigate challenges and celebrate successes, creating an environment where every student can thrive.
Wishing you a restful weekend and looking forward to another great week ahead.
Warm regards,
Dr. Maisha N. Otway
Principal, College Park Elementary School

Leader In Me
Our school is implementing a whole-school transformational process called the Leader in Me, which teaches 21st-century leadership and life skills to students and creates a culture of student empowerment based on the idea that every child can be a leader. The parent/guardian survey takes about 12 minutes to complete and will ask questions about your child and about his or her experience in our school. If you have more than one child attending the school, you will be asked to think about the oldest child's experiences as you answer questions related to his or her growth.
Parents we need your input and participation please complete the Leader In Me survey for your child about his/her experiences in our school. Click link to fill out survey.
