ELD Updates and Supports
Prior to the Winter Break, all grade levels met with Ms. Robarge during PLC’s to review, where we are with ELD at Teague, current expectations, and planning->implementation->communication. Additionally, sample schedules, ideas on how to integrate the ELD curriculum into daily common core curriculum, and language objectives for daily practice were shared.
We have observed many teachers trying their best to alter schedules for small groups, incorporating ELD weekly goals, and creating creative spaces to manage whole groups and small group teaching. Your efforts are recognized and appreciated.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to Ms. Robarge and the ELD team if you have any additional questions. The ELPAC Summative testing will begin mid February. Please take time to review the practice test shared during PLC’s .
As a reminder, D-ELD is 30 minutes daily, is expected to be taught in small groups by the instructor, occur even if it’s a short day, and a time when instructional material shared to the whole group is not being missed by the smaller ELD group.
