Description
The Pandas have snub noses, generous cheeks, long fur, flexible wrist bones, and they are black and white. They have a thumb-like finger called a sixth digit, which they use to hold bamboo. They eat grass, insects, rodents, and even small mammals. The giant panda is 4-5 feet.
Their Home
The giant panda lives in central and western China, in the Sichuan, Shaanxi, and Gansu provinces. they live in bamboo woods where there is bamboo. Some of them live on mountains, and in the bamboo woods.
Population of Animal
1,900 Giant Pandas are left in the world.
Why they are dying out
People are poaching the Giant Panda for there hide even though it is illegal. Another reason why they are endangered is because people are cutting down bamboo forests and bamboo is mainly what they eat.
How can we save them?
We can help the animals by stopping these poachers, and we can also stop cutting down bamboo trees. Breeding the Giant Pandas could help raise the population. We should make Panda reserves to keep them safe from poachers.
