Neil Armstrong was born on August 5,1930 in Wapakoneta, Ohio. When he was little, he flew his first plane at the age of six. The plane was called the “Tin Goose”. When he was a kid, his dad worked as an auditor for the government . His parents names were Stephen and Viola Engel Armstrong. Next, he went to school. Of course, he was not the only child. He has a brother called Dean, and a sister called June. Neil was the oldest.

Death
Armstrong sadly died in Cincinnati, Ohio. He died at age 82 because he had heart surgery earlier that month and he died of complications, On August 25, 2012 he passed on. Even though he is dead, we will always remember the first astronaut to ever walk on the moon!
