- The students will be contacting their University Local Food Teams to set up monthly meeting dates/times.
- The NC 10% Campaign will travel to each campus to join your team meetings in person in February/March.

About the Local Food Ambassador Program
The Purpose of the LFA Program is to partner with entities within the university to hire and train a student at each of the 6 Minority-Serving Institutions to increase local foods on campus.
The Goals of the LFA Program are to encourage local foods education and outreach in the campus body, to support local foods in alignment with the campus sustainability mission, and to mentor future leaders in understanding local and seasonal food systems.
The LFA Student Expectations are to assess current local foods interests and programming on campus; engage student groups; work with NC Cooperative Extension, farmers, Sustainability Office, Dining Services, and faculty/staff to lead on-campus local food outreach and education through events, cooking demos, social media, and more; and attend trainings on food systems and leadership development.
