Principal’s Message
Cavett Families,
Dear Cavett Families,
Ensuring your child's consistent attendance and punctuality is crucial to their academic success. Arriving late or leaving early not only disrupts the learning process but also impacts our overall classroom environment, particularly during testing periods. As we strive for excellence, it's worth noting that our letter grade reflects each student's attendance. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Please take a moment to complete your child's registration for the upcoming school year, 24-25. Early registration aids us in effectively planning class sizes and student placements. Additionally, it informs the district about our anticipated teacher requirements. Kindly log into ParentVUE to register your child today, or visit Register/Enroll on tusd1.org for further assistance.
Parent/teacher conferences are approaching, and students will be dismissed at 11:40 am on conference days. If you haven't already heard from your child's teacher regarding a conference, please feel free to reach out to schedule one, should you have any concerns or questions.
Stay informed about school happenings by keeping an eye out for communication from your child's teacher. Join our Facebook page for weekly updates on current events at Cavett.
Lastly, we kindly ask for your consideration in making tax credit donations to Cavett. Your contributions directly benefit our school, supporting programs such as fine arts, field trips, and sports. Your generosity is truly valued, and every donation makes a meaningful difference.
Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to Cavett Elementary.
Warm regards,
Carol Leeson

Parent School Quality Survey
You may have received on Monday, January 29 via Parent Link from the Communications Department regarding Cavett's School Quality Survey. Additionally, the department will send out a reminder to families who have not yet participated each Monday throughout the Month of February. Please be on the lookout for the Parent SQS fill out the survey. The feedback from you about our schools is very important and helps us improve upon our service and accessibility.
Cell Phones
We have seen a lot of usage of cell phones and air pods during the school day. Please remind your student that if they bring their phone, air pods, smart watches etc. they need to keep it in their pocket or backpack, and we are not responsible for items lost or stolen. Students are not allowed to use electronics during class, passing period, etc. Students seen using electronics without permission will have items confiscated. You may view the TUSD Policy here.
Parent Dismissal
We are using the FetchKids Dismissal application. We will not release students before 2:30. School is out at 2:40. We will not walk your students across the street. You must park and can wait in the front of the school for your student to arrive. Please be mindful of the car line. It does not matter how old you are, no one likes it when someone cuts in front of the line. The dismissal line goes fast once we get started. Thank you for your patience.
Homework Help
Homework help is in the library every morning from 7:00—8:00 am.
