Write Your Child an Encouraging Note!
Parents,
Your students have been working hard all year, and now is their time to shine. As you know, testing can become stressful to students. We would like to ease this as much as possible and are doing things at school to help. We would like to invite you to join us in these efforts. As parents, you have been and are a powerful influence on how your child progresses. We are asking for NOTES OF ENCOURAGEMENT from home for students to open on the morning of testing. This will be a little piece of home away from home, and we're hoping it will but a smile on their face and build their confidence as they mentally prepare each morning of testing. The notes can be as simple or elaborate as you would like. We know that students thrive when there are connections between home and school. If you would like to participate, please send your note to school in an envelope with your child's name on the front by Monday, March 28th. We will distribute these on Tuesday, March 29th and Wedenesday, March 30th to the appropriate grades during this first round of testing. In fifth grade, because there are two testing days, you may consider asking someone else (parent, grandparent, sibling, relative, etc.) to write one as well. Thank you for every effort you make to help your child be successful! We look forward to seeing their smiles as they read your notes."
