Traveling Iron Cardinal of the Week
This week the Iron Cardinal goes to Daryl Snaza. Daryl comes to work every day with a “whatever you need” attitude. He takes great pride in his work and our building. Many days you can see him going the extra mile, whether it’s the new stain on the carpet, fixing toilets, or cleaning up accidents that no one wants to do. Daryl is one of the main reasons our building looks the way it does and GVHS thanks him for all his "behind the scenes" work!
This award is to be passed along from one colleague to the next every Friday. The weekly recipient selects the next recipient and so on. The goal is to select an unsuspecting person outside of your regular contacts and to recognize their contributions to GVHS. (selection ideas...custodians, secretaries, teachers, paras, advisors, counselors, lunch ladies...ect.)
Iron Cardinal
This Cardinal is made out of cast iron. It stands 2 1/2 inches tall and weighs almost 2lbs. It represents strength and a solid commitment to the values of GVHS. It can be tested, but will always come through any challenge standing strong!
(...and it looks cool thanks to the painting of Pheonix Hadley!)
STAFF TO DO:
- Be active in Homecoming initiatives. The more we get involved the more the kids will.
- Make sure you are aware of the bell schedule change and where you need to be. If you have questions please ask.
- We are doing a minimum of 1 responsibility grade and 1 content grade per week. 14 total grades minimum for the semester should be entered by Thursday before 12:00.
- Have you talked about Habits or Learning Mindsets lately? Hopefully, it's not just something that hangs on your wall but is used to successfully prepare our students for life.
