WEEK OF 11/28 - 12/02
Letter from MEB
I am always impressed, but never surprised by the generosity of our District 118 Family. One of the things I look forward to this time of year is helping Mrs. Brandie Kuchefski on the day that everyone brings items in for our own District 118 Angel Tree. The generosity of our district becomes tangible as the main hallway and former board room are literally filled with items for our own students purchased and completely funded by our own staff. We have tried to take photos that capture the expanse of generosity, but they never quite do the trick. It is a sight to behold and renews my spirit. So, in closing out the smores for 2022, please know that we are incredibly generous souls that take care of our own.
I hope this season brings you rest, peace, hope and joy.
Take Care,
MEB
LETRS Training
You may have heard about LETRS and wondered if you missed the opportunity to participate in this AMAZING self-paced training. The answer is no, you have not, but time is running out. We will be able to provide this opportunity while we have ESSER funding for another year. Anyone interested in earning 12 graduate credits that can be used to move over on our pay scale while earning a stipend, as you learn the best way to help students of all ages learn to read, please consider this opportunity. Please reach out to Julie Cox at 1064 or Sara Stimac at 1939 for more information. They can also be reached by email at coxj@danville118.org or stimacs@danville118.org.
Math Games!
Ever wonder if there is a math version of wordle, look no further there is NERDLE! Guess the NERDLE in 6 tries. After each guess, the color of the tiles will change to show how close your guess was to the solution. There are many different games and options. Make sure to check NERDLE out.

Looking for a way students can practice their times table games. Also inspired by the game wordle, you have six attempts to find a sequence of five numbers from a times table. This is a great way to practice multiples!

Support your class activities, stimulate engagement and help your students get to work by using the intuitive tools of Classroomscreen. You can take a poll, pick random names, make a qr code, use a sound level meter, a timer, and more.
