Home School Connection
Social Emotional Learning (SEL)
Creating a Home School Connection for our SEL lessons has been a goal of mine all year. I am excited to finally be able to share with you what we have been working on during our Character Class periods. You will even have a chance to reflect on the lessons with your child.
The most recent topics from our SEL lessons were Respect, Self Respect, and Recognizing and Restoring Respect. Our focus in each of these lessons was how being aware of our emotions can help us better respect each other and ourselves. The students also talked about respecting each other and being respectful of different beliefs, cultures, opinions, and backgrounds.
All LAF students will come home with a Home School Connection assignment today to reflect on and continue to process these messages. Please sit with your child to discuss and complete each question. Please return the document to your child's homeroom teacher by May 6th. It can be returned earlier.
Since we are not used to taking home paper copies, please click here for a digital copy. You can use lined paper to respond instead of printing copies. Thank you for your support.
