WBMS Friday Notes
February 7, 2020
Reflections from Ms. Williams
WBMS Parents and Guardians –
Your children may have come home and spoken to you about the installation of new cameras around WBMS and/or you may have noticed the pink wires hanging from the front walkway of our school. We are in the midst of upgrading our safety and security at WBMS. All high schools and most middle schools already have the new Avigilon Camera System and are reporting better quality and coverage, so we are pleased that it’s our turn to be part of the Security Camera Replacement Project through Fulton County Schools. The installation is done in three phases; we are currently in the midst of phase two, and we are told the installation and training will be completed by the end of February. The cameras are in place for safety reasons; thus, the former system will not be disconnected until the new system is fully tested.
As always, enjoy your weekend as a family!

We are headed to the JA Discovery Center February 18, 19 and 20, 2020.
Your child has a dream, a vision for what their future can be. The JA Discovery Center provides students with opportunities to make those dreams a reality. There, your child will partake in a best in class simulation experience that will give them the tools to own their own economic success.
In the classroom they will have learned the fundamental skills they’ll need for this day, all that is missing is YOU to bring it all home! We would like to extend the invitation. Come along and support your student and their classmates. As a parent/community volunteer, you will not only share your life experiences to mentor and coach students through their day but you will also help the days learning transcend past the JA Discovery Center visit. We welcome all professions, your life experience and determination to succeed means you can serve as a volunteer. If you have ever had a job or paid a bill…you are the PERFECT volunteer!
