Wellness Wednesday Kick off September 29th
Wellness Wednesday Kickoff!
Centennial has planned several events this year to encourage wellness and thriving in our school community, Wednesday September 29th is our first offering - Here are the details so you don’t miss out!
We are supporting student wellness in the simple, intentional acts of appreciating and recognizing another on campus.
Have you ever heard that you feel best when you serve or recognize value in others? It's true! So, Knights, Who at Centennial would you say boosted your start to this new year? It might be a Centennial staff person, office, lunchroom, grounds worker, counselor, teacher, inspiring student, volunteer or even your bus driver? Be Thinking of who you will nominate!
On Wednesday September 29th students will be asked to recognize and thank the person through appreciation cards given out at bus arrival, car pool, and lunch for the nominations which will be entered into a raffle for $25 gift cards- both for the student and person recognized. Come see the Wellness Wednesday team to deposit your nomination and chalk-art thanks in the Centennial halls with the name of their Wellness Wednesday nominee!
You Science
“Hello 10th grade parents & families!
For the next two weeks, ALL 10th grade students will be completing their YouScience profile in their 10th grade World History classes between Monday, September 27th, 2021 through Friday, October 8th, 2021.
YouScience is an online, scientific program that takes students through a series of assessments and interest questions, designed to determine their results in the 6 key aptitudes utilized in the working world. The results include a review of the student’s strengths, suggested environments where they will succeed, detailed information on possible careers that match those skills and interests, majors that map to those careers, and much more. School counselors will work with students to help review and interpret the comprehensive results.
Takeaways
- Review the Parent Communication letter (includes two short videos) & Student Instructions with your student
- Teachers will determine when students will begin & complete the YouScience profile in their World History class in the testing window (9/27/21-10/8/21)
- Students can complete the assessment at home as long as they begin it in class.
- Once students begin an aptitude, they MUST finish it.
