A Message From Dr. Ricks
Parents and Friends,
Everyone is getting revved up for Family Basketball Night, and I hope to see many of you there at the gym beginning--the first game begins at 5:30.
We are continuing to enjoy our Tuesday Parent Information sessions for the different grade levels. The move from one grade to the next can be very stressful, and I know that there are academic and emotional challenges that you want to be prepared for. I look forward to meeting with each of you as we talk about what exciting things to expect for the 2017-18 school year.
Be on the lookout for all of the great information about our upcoming Gala! Jennifer Parker and her team have worked hard to bring you some truly unique parties, trips, and packages that you will not want to miss!
Have a good weekend,
Dr. Beth J. Ricks, Ph. D.

Wellness for Parents:
School Conference Room Sundays Jan 22-Feb 12.
There is no greater joy, challenge, or responsibility in this life than that of being a parent. It is truly a gift and an honor to be charged with giving a child a sure foundation. When parents are doing well, they have a better chance of giving their children such a start. How are parents supposed to know what it takes to parent well?
With all there is to do as parents, finding time for self-care can be difficult. Therefore, the idea of parenting wellness may seem to be out of reach. Parents and families are pulled in many different directions today. Because of this, it is more important than ever for parents to have a compass to help them find their way and to keep themselves and their families heading in a positive direction.
Please join us on Sundays, January 22 through February 12 for this 4 week, scripturally based class on wellness and parenting. The class is open to anyone who finds themselves involved with raising or caring for children of all ages. There will be concurrent activities for your children in the Upper Room (on the third floor of the school administration building) which will include breakfast. We will meet at 9:15am in the School Conference Room.
