Athletics
The girls JV and Varsity basketball games both had a home game, Jan. 27. They played the Parlier Panthers which is the Mustang’s second game against them.
Boys Soccer vs. Panthers
Boys soccer had a big game on Jan. 27, 2020 against Parlier High School! The game took place at Minarets around 7:00 p.m.
Stunt Comes to Minarets
Did you hear about Minaret's new dance group called Stunt? It's a group where they compete against different schools and have different things for the four different quarters.
Clubs
A Musical Movement: Musicians Club
Earlier this school year, three freshman students, Keegan Atkinson, Cyrus Joslin, and Evan Bethel, started the first-ever Musicians Club at Minarets.
Continuing the Tradition of Community Service: Key Club's Family Day
Twenty-seven students began their day by being greeted off the bus up by the Minarets parking lot and led down to where Key Club had set up their meeting room.
Drama has a Sweet Tooth: Dramatic Desserts
Muffins, cookies, and cakes, oh my! The 2019-2020 drama classes are hosting a Dramatic Desserts showcase this Thursday, Jan. 30, to fundraise for the upcoming spring play She Kills Monsters.
Minarets FFA Speaking Invitational
Minarets FFA held their 10th annual speaking invitational competition on Saturday, Jan. 25. At the invitational Parliamentary Procedure teams, Creed speaking competitors and Impromptu Speaking Competitors from all around California attended, ranging from Sierra to Nipomo High School.

The Animation Creation
The Animation Appreciation and Collaboration Club (AAC), also known as the Animation club, has been working hard at trying to come up with a script for the animated short they wish to produce this year.
Cookbook Club
The Cook Book club is a new club that started here at Minarets High School. It’s a way for students to get together and bond over recipes that aren't mentioned often.
She Kills Audition
Auditions for Minarets Drama's production of She Kills Monsters were held on Jan. 21 and 22 with callbacks on Jan. 23, 2020. The cast consists of eighteen students, twelve playing character roles and six playing ensemble roles.

The FFA Vegetarian can be found at the Reedley Middle College Field Day sustaining themselves on three tortillas and a lemon slice- salsa if they’re feeling spicy!
The Present and Future of Band and Performing Music at Minarets
