Delta Zeta
A Year in Review
Greetings!
The women of Delta Zeta, Epsilon Gamma have been busy working this year to create many memorable experiences, in order to make this year one for the books! This past fall we welcomed thirty five new women into our sisterhood. Then we competed graciously in Homecoming, and Greek Week, placing very well in both. We also planned a phenomenal new philanthropy event, Hike for Hearing, which was a week long series of events in order to benefit Starkey Hearing Foundation. The year was full of fun filled events, and socials with other greek chapters in our community, and we look forward to our newest event this fall, a week long philanthropy event to benefit Painted Turtle Camp, taking place in October!
Bid Day Fall 2015
This past fall we welcomed thirty five new and wonderful women into our sisterhood! The theme was "We mermaid to be DZ".
Christmas Time
This year we hosted our annual Alumni Tea, a tradition that was started many years ago at UCM! It was great getting to see all our wonderful alumni before the holiday break!
Greek Week 2016
Greek Week this year was a blast! The theme was outer space, and Delta Zeta chose Men in Black. Our goddess, Madelyn Parkhurst was amazing and did wonderfully during all the events! Our partners were TKE and Theta Chi.
Philanthropy
Hike for Hearing
Hike for Hearing this year was a great time! We spent the week informing our campus about hearing loss, and what it is like to be unable to hear. Then we hosted our first annual Hamburgers for Hearing event, where tickets were purchased to benefit Starkey in exchange for delicious burgers and chips! Then we had Paint a Turtle, where people were able to buy sponges full of paint and could paint any DZ Turtle they wanted! Finally we hosted the actual Hike for Hearing at Pertle Springs, and all entry fees also went to Starkey. After the Hike, there was an alumni luncheon where all alumni who attended the event stayed and ate SPIN! Pizza with their sisters! Over all the week was a huge success, as the chapter raised over $8,000 dollars for Starkey. Our next big philanthropy event will be in October for Painted Turtle Camp! We invite all of you to come and enjoy the week with us!
Big Little Reveal
This years big little reveal was a success! So many sisters were fooled!
Breaking StereoTypes
Our sisters participated in an event to break stereotypes about Greek Life overall.
Watermelon Bust
Lambda Chi Alpha's watermelon bust was one of our favorite events this year, with a real mud pit for the tug of war tournament!
Royals Sisterhood
Our Royals sisterhood was a blast, and we even got to have a photoshoot on the field after the game!
Homecoming 2015
Our homecoming candidate Kaitlynn did an amazing job competing this year. The theme was "Where our story began", and our partners were Sigma Pi.
Rollerskating Social
We had a "Tacky Tourist" roller skating social with other greek life members.
