Principal's Message
Kellogg Families,
Welcome to the 4th quarter! We look forward to finishing the school year with positive momentum.
Last week as a school and in classrooms, we had PBIS rotations to reset expectations for behavior in hallways, restrooms, cafeteria, recess, and all areas on campus. We ask for you to have a conversation with your students about how they can positively impact the culture and climate of Kellogg each and every day through their actions.
With the 4th quarter underway, we are also gearing up for OSAS testing. OSAS, or Oregon Statewide Assessment System, assesses students’ mastery of Oregon content standards. OSAS Online includes the English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and English Language Proficiency assessments. OSAS will occur on the following dates:
Tuesday, April 30th = Science OSAS (8th grade only)
Wednesday, May 1st = Science OSAS (8th grade only)
Thursday, May 2nd = Science OSAS (8th grade only)
Tuesday, May 14th = Reading Part I OSAS (6th-8th grade)
Wednesday, May 15th = Reading Part II OSAS (6th-8th grade)
Thursday, May 16th = Math Part I OSAS (6th-8th grade)
Friday, May 17th = Math Part II OSAS (6th-8th grade)
Please encourage your child to be on time at school every day especially on OSAS dates.
Have a wonderful week ahead and a fantastic start to the fourth quarter!
Mr. Thai Nguyen
