Patriot's Pointe
Happy Monday Patriot Families!
Greetings Patriot Families,
We are officially half way through the Spring semester and quickly approaching Spring Break. As we prepare to move into this week please be reminded of our code of conduct as it relates to behavior and dress code. We have noticed an increase in students wearing tops that reveal the mid drift and shorts/skirts that are too short in length. Parents we need your support in these areas as the weather gets warmer. Please look for information this week from teachers regarding opportunities over the break to improve student academic performance as well as test prep activities as we head into our Spring testing administration.
Congratulations to our Varsity Boys and Girls Soccer teams for earning their place as Region Champions! Our Varsity Boys track team placed 1st overall and our Girls came in 4th place at the Christian Taylor Track Invitational. You can see the individual results of our runners further down in the newsletter. Our Varsity Baseball team defeated Douglas High School last week and will play Cedar Grove on Tuesday at home. Our Winter Guard performed at Kell High School over the weekend and had a great showing! Please don’t forget to join us on Wednesday, March 27th at Shamrock Park to celebrate our 2x State Championship Boys Basketball team!
We are excited to support our students in their academic endeavors while providing them with a competitive advantage!

Friends and Family Sponsorship
We have a rich tradition in athletics here at Sandy Creek with more than 10 State Championships in sports such as football, basketball, track, and volleyball.
Our scoreboard was built in 1991 and we are in need of a new board to match our dynamic and talented athletic teams. The vision at Sandy Creek High School is to provide students a competitive advantage in whatever endeavor they choose after high school. With your assistance we can help the students prepare for those endeavors while branding your business and supporting our community. Please view the information attached about the sponsorship and digital scoreboard.
We would like to recognize our FIRST Family Sponsor, The Harvey Family! The Harvey Family has donated $1,000 to our scoreboard fundraiser and we are hoping you can match or double their contribution soon! Who will be next to accept the challenge????
Corporate Sponsorship
SCHS hopes that your company would be interested in becoming a premier sponsor for our digital scoreboard program! Choose from one of four value packages below to present your brand and message to students and fans within your community while supporting the schools and helping fund a platform that provides real career opportunities for students

Parents of Rising 11th grade Students
As your child transitions to the 11th grade, we want to ensure their health and safety remains our top priority. This is a reminder regarding the meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV4) booster dose requirement for students who have turned 16 years old.
According to the Department of Public Health (DPH) guidelines, students are due for one booster dose of the meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV4), unless their initial dose was administered on or after their 16th birthday.
Please note that the DPH will be conducting an audit of 11th-grade students at SCHS on September 6, 2024. To facilitate compliance and ensure your child's participation in school activities is not disrupted, we kindly urge you to take this opportunity to schedule your child's vaccination appointment before September 6, 2024.
Student Parking passes are available all year for $60 and should be displayed in the bottom corner of the driver's side windshield.

The road to college acceptance comes with a lot of uncertainties. Doorway to College can help reduce your young scholar's anxiety about preparing for college entrance exams and applying to college. Our mission is to help students like yours make a successful transition from high school to higher education.
Doorway to College, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, evolved from a 30-year history of serving college-bound high school students. Doorway to College Foundation is continuing the work of the former ZAPS Learning Company, which was also dedicated to providing quality test prep to students who can't afford hundreds of dollars — or more — to raise their scores.

The Campus Parent portal is your source for student and family records, including household and individual contact information, attendance, school-based fees, academic planning (high school), forms, and report cards. The Parent portal also provides access to the GaDOE SLDS Portal. Please set up the parent Infinite Campus account first. The same username will be shared with Schoology to set up your parent account in Schoology. Because each login reflects the person associated with the username, it is recommended that a separate account is created for each parent.
- Usernames can be comprised of letters, numbers, the underscore, and dash.
- Please refrain from creating a username that is all numbers, as that will interfere with student data here in our district.
- After completing the setup of your parent portal account, please allow 24 hours for your new account information to be sent to Schoology before attempting to log into your Schoology parent account.
