Transfer Connections Blog
About the Blog
The Department of Commuter and Transfer Student Life will be launching Seattle University’s first ever transfer focused blog! The purpose of this blog is to provide a space for current students to share about their time at SU and connect with others based on common interests.
We are looking for transfer students who want to share their honest experiences. The ideal author will be willing to share stories about their overall experience and discuss their thoughts and feelings about their transition, what it means to be a transfer student at Seattle University, lessons learned inside and outside of the classroom and any advice for incoming and current students.
This is an exciting volunteer opportunity and we’re looking for students with passion, dedication and the skill set to keep a blog lively, timely and relevant to current and prospective students who will be following the blog. Previous blogging, journalism or PR experience is not necessary. Please review the following information and complete the form below if you are interested.
Expectations
· 1 post per month (each 250-500 words in length + photo)
· Comment Monitoring (Responses to Comments, where necessary-within 24 hours of the original comment)
· Occasional Audio and/or Video posts (1-5 min in length)
· Minimum one quarter commitment
Interested?
We hoping to launch the blog during Winter Quarter 2013, so please send any questions or ideas to Sha'terika Perkins at perkinss@seattleu.edu.
