A very special guest: Victor Wisehart as Snow Cavalier
Southern California Ballet alumnus and musical theater star, Victor Wisehart, will return to his home stage to partner our own dancers in the Snow pas de deux.
Victor has already returned once this year during the summer to share his expertise as part of our "Summer Masterclass Series." Now studying dramatic arts at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, UK, he returns once more to actually dance with some of the students he trained in the summer. What an amazing opportunity this is for our dancers and the Poway audience to see him return to their stage!
Help us make The Nutcracker last for generations
Many people do not realize that—unlike a fine wine—ballets do not age well. In particular, costumes have limited lives, and the expense of replacing them is not covered by ticket sales. As such, fundraising proceeds go toward things like this to help us continue to improve this magnificent production.
We are also continually striving to increase awareness of dance and the benefits it can bring to everyone. In the packet, you will find ways that you can also support these opportunities whether it be for school groups, senior homes, girl scouts, or our special needs groups. The outreach shows are a wonderful opportunity for these groups to experience the theater.
Please look out for new outreach opportunities this year, as we have some exciting plans.
In the meantime, please glance over our new packet (which we are very proud of) and share it with anyone you think might be interested in supporting our community.
Thank you!
