A.P. Terhune Elementary School participated in “No Name‐Calling” Week, which provides schools, students and educators with the tools and inspiration to challenge name‐calling in their communities.

TEACHER SPOTLIGHT
Have you ever wondered about your teacher? About who they are and some of their likes and dislikes? Well I certainly have. So, for our first time publishing our school newsletter, we selected two teachers at random to make it fair. For this issue, I will spotlight Miss Iacobucci and Mr. Hatch. Read on to learn about these teachers.
Miss Iacobucci is a Kindergarten teacher. Her favorite colors are red, pink, blue, and purple. She really loves reading. A few of her favorite books are Charlottes Web, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, and A Christmas Carol. One of her favorite authors is Dr. Seuss. Miss Iacobucci loves baseball. Her favorite team is the New York Mets. She likes to accessorize with scarves and jewelry and also likes to go to the library. At school she loves to listen to children tell stories. She thinks Kindergarten should be special for her students. Most of all, she loves to see the excited look on her students' faces when they read their first book.
Mr. Hatch is a fourth grade teacher. His favorite color is blue. His favorite subject is Social Studies which he teaches to all three fourth grade classes. He doesn't have a pet but he used to have two bunnies when he was growing up. His favorite book is And Then There Were None. His favorite TV show is The Office. At home, Mr. Hatch loves to spend time with friends and enjoys cooking. His favorite holiday is Thanksgiving because there is lots of good food to eat. Did you know that last year Mr. Hatch went Sky Diving? Mr. Hatch's favorite motto in life is "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."
