The Third Grade Team
Learning Targets
Writers Workshop:
We will explore the parts of a letter so that we can understand the purpose for letter writing. I'll know I have it when I can develop a professional letter to Allen Say.
Readers Workshop:
We will explore more of Allen Say's texts so that we can learn more about his style as an author and practice using deep thinking strategies. I'll know I have it when I can discuss and write my opinions about the plot elements of Allen Say's texts.
Social Studies:
We will learn the purpose of timelines so that we can understand how to use timelines to gather information. I'll know I have it when I can put the copyright dates of Allen Say's books in chronological order.
Math Workshop:
We will take the module 4 checkup so that we can demonstrate our knowledge of place value and fractions.
Science:
We will review force, motion, and energy so that we are prepared for our assessment. I'll know I have it when I can successfully demonstrate my knowledge of force, motion, and energy.
